In the Heart of the Forest
If you'd have told me five years ago that today I'd be writing a book, I'd probably have thought it was really cool, my hope is that in another five years time I'll be able to tell myself now that I'm a published author. Regardless, working on this novel has been amazing, I've poured myself into it, and I hope that the passion and dedication shows.
'Sorrow is the night. It comes just as the day does, as joy does. To have one is to have the other. It is inevitable, and in its embrace we can become lost, blinded. We can forget what it is like to see the light. But inevitably it will come. If we are willing to wait, no night can last forever'
Deep in the heart of the forest, former warrior monk Floryan must come to terms with who he is. What he has done, who he has hurt, who he has left behind, and who he wants to become.

This novel is currently my main focus of work at the moment. It is deeply inspired by my own life: My struggles and how they have marked me.
More than that the novel is my statement, to myself and the world: It is my declaration: To live, to fight, to carry on however I can. To find hope and beauty in even the darkest of times.

I hope that Floryan's story can entertain and inspire others. To take them on a journey, a way to escape the world around them, but also a way to help come to terms with it.
